There are more Indians logging into Facebook, Twitter and other major Social networking sites, as evident from a record growth of 37 percent during 2013, according to a study.

Though the growth rate of social network users may be moving at snail’s pace globally, there is no stopping in India, as the number of people using Social Media Services in India is estimated to reach a whopping 80 million this year from 63 million from last year.

It is no surprise that India will have the largest Facebook population in the world in a few years by the rate at which their database in growing. A survey was conducted by the Internet and Mobile Association of India and found that 78 million netizens throughout the country were active users of Facebook in early 2013, recording an astonishing 50 percent growth over the same period in 2012, followed by 33 million users on Twitter and 20 million users on LinkedIn.
